Welcome to Wood Tiger Therapies and thank you for visiting my website!
According to the Chinese Zodiac I was born in the year of the Wood Tiger. The complementary therapies I practise both originate in the Far East: Tui Na Massage from China and Reiki from Japan. Although each therapy is quite different, both occupy common ground by seeking to rebalance the physical body, the mind, the emotional, and the spiritual self. The pace of 21st century life for many of us is unforgiving. Those proverbial plates must keep spinning, and the many and varied balls we juggle have to stay airborne day in and day out. It all takes its toll on us. Bit by bit, and despite our best efforts, we forget what it is to take care of and nurture ourselves: to refuel, restore and regenerate. Stress and anxiety take root, seemingly right under our noses. Fatigue, exhaustion, aches and pains in our muscles, our bones and our hearts become our constant companions in life.
Whether you’re looking for massage to bring relief from the pain and discomfort of tight muscles, aching and sore joints, or you would like to feel deeply relaxed, refreshed and energised, I offer Tui Na massage and Reiki therapies in a safe, warm and relaxing space. Please feel free to check out the rest of my site for more information about each of these powerful tools for healing and don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to chat about how I can help you.

What People Say
Summary of feedback over four Tui Na massages:
“My mind feels clearer after session two and everything feels looser generally. I feel much less tension all through my mind and my body.” After session 3: “I feel really chilled and relaxed! The treatments are really helping me to cope with my autistic son because if I am more relaxed than he is.” After session 4: “I feel more able to cope with what life is throwing at me. January is usually an awful time of year for me, as I always really struggle with feelings of depression and lack of motivation; but not this year. Tui Na has scaffolded me. I already have resilience and coping mechanisms but it does all come at a cost to my general wellbeing. These treatments have left me with a real tangible feeling of contentment.”
Mrs M P
Massage for neck, chest and shoulder pain and inflammation. Head cold, headache, earache, cough and itchy skin:
“My face and sinuses were hypersensitive although this eased off during the treatment. By the end I felt much less congested in the nose, face and sinuses. My headache felt a lot better on the left side and my ear was much clearer too. My neck and shoulders felt looser overall. Overall, it was a lovely, really relaxing and pleasant treatment – I particularly like the facial massage. It made me realise just how much tension I had been carrying there.”
Mr A K
Neck shoulder and back massage for acute shoulder pain and lower back ache:
“I felt no pain at all after the treatment – my shoulder feels much looser . My lower back felt very tight but after the massage it feels looser and I feel really relaxed; almost a bit spaced! My whole back is tingling and I feel full of energy but at the same time like I could go to sleep.”
